OIA 22-23-60: Innovators to explore global potential through aquaculture launchpad 
 
Thank you for your email of 9 May 2023 to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), making 
a request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). You requested the following 
information:

"through a launchpad programme delivered by Hatch Innovation Services in partnership with 
NZTE." May I kindly request the full copy of partnership agreement between NZTE and Hatch 
Innovation Services. 
 
"The final cohort was chosen after an open call for applications which closed on 22 April, with 
applicants assessed jointly by Hatch and NZTE." May I ask how did you assess the application 
and who is on NZTE's assessment panel. Please provide the name of assessor from NZTE's 
side and their bio please. 
 
Answers to your questions are as follows. 
 
1.  May I kindly request the full copy of the partnership agreement between NZTE and Hatch 
Innovation Services 
 
Please find the Hatch Innovation Services Contract attached as Appendix One.  
 
Please note, the full copy of the Hatch Innovation Services Contract has been withheld 
under the following sections, s(9)(2)(b)(i ) would likely prejudice the commercial position of 
the person who supplied or who is the subject of the information, s(9)(2)(a) to protect the 
privacy of natural persons. 
 
2.  May I ask how did you assess the application 
 
Applications were individually assessed by the panel using the scoring matrix attached in 
Appendix Two. The scores were an input into the decision and the panel met to review the 
results. Every company was assessed in relation to fit for this specific programme.  
 
3.  Please provide the name of assessor from NZTE’s side and their bio please.  
 
The following were on the assessment panel from the NZTE side.

•  Megan Huddleston- International Partnerships Manager, Agritech ITP
