Official Information Act request relating to New Zealand’s delegation to London in May 
2023 
 
Thank you for your request made under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), received 
on 9 May 2023. You requested: 
 
“I would like to make the following freedom of information requests 
1.  list of the entire delegation accompanying the prime minister to london in may 
2023  
2.  list  of  the  entire  delegation  accompanying  the  governor  general  to  london  in 
may 2023  
3.  number of rooms booked at the trafalgar st james hotel for the delegations.” 
 
I believe the part of your request for a list of the delegation that accompanied the Prime 
Minister, Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to London is more closely connected to the functions of the 
Prime Minister. Accordingly, I have decided to transfer this part of your request to the Prime 
Minister under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act. The other parts of the request have not been 
transferred, and I will respond in due course. 
 
The  Prime  Minister  has  the  usual  timeframes  under  the  Act  from  receipt  of  this  transfer  to 
make a decision on your request.
