Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 6 May 2023 requesting information relating to the kidzone cycleway trials 
conducted by Let’s Get Wellington Moving (LGWM) in August 2022 under the Official Information Act 
1982 (the Act). I will address each part of your requests in turn below. 
 
*  Reports written by external consultants working on this project, its plans or its findings 
*  Reports written by consultants, or staff of NZTA or LGWM, analysising the outcomes of 
the project, including but not limited to analysis of feedback and submissions. 

 
The fol owing documents fal  within the scope of these parts of your request: 
•  LGWM TQHR Hutt Road Trials Project Report, October 2022 
•  LGWM TQHR Hutt Road Trials Communications and Engagement Summary, November 2022 
 
These documents wil  soon be published on our website at: https://lgwm.nz/all-projects/tqhr/the-
proposal-thorndon-quay-and-hutt-road/hutt-road-changes/temporary-cycle-path-trials-on-hutt-road/. 
Certain information within these documents will be withheld under the following sections of the Act: 
•  9(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons 
•  9(2)(g)(i) to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the free and frank 
expression of opinions. 
 
You can expect the documents to be available by the end of this week.  
 
I am therefore refusing the release of these documents under section 18(d) of the Act. 
 
*  The total cost of the consultation, trials, and reports 
 
The anticipated total cost of the consultation, trials, and reports is $265,000. 
 
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to refuse
