OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST
I refer to your official information request of 16 May 2023 for:
How many full time employees working at the ministry of women aprox each of your
last 3 financial years?
How many medical doctors are full time employees or contractors at the ministry of
women your last 3 financial years?
The Ministry’s FTE (full-time equivalent) count for the last is outlined in the table below.
Please note that because FTE numbers fluctuate throughout the year, this is ‘point in time’
data.
Table 1: FTE count as at 30 April 2023, as at 30 June 2022, as at 30 June 2021
Financial year (as at)
FTE count
30 April 2023
41.7
30 June 2022
36
30 June 2021
34.3
We have decided to refuse the second part of your request under section 18(g)(i) of the
Official Information Act, on that basis that the Ministry does not hold the information you
have requested.
The reason, as per our response to your previous request, for this is that while we receive
some information about our employees’ qualifications at the time they apply for a role at
the Ministry, we do not keep full, centralised records of those qualifications. We also do not
capture qualifications that employees may obtain while they are already working at
Ministry.
Please note that this response, with your personal details redacted, may be published on the
Ministry’s website. If you have any concerns or comments related to this, please let us know
by emailing
[email address], within two weeks of the date of this letter.
