OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST 23.26 Engineering First Year Grade Distribution 
I refer to the Official Information Act 21 April 2023 for information relating to the Engineering First Year Grade 
Distribution. You have specifical y requested: 
I would like to request grade breakdowns for the fol owing 2022 Engineering First Year courses: 
 
•  ENGR101-22S1 
•  PHYS101-22S1 
•  COSC131-22S1 
•  EMTH118-22S1 
•  EMTH119-22S2 
•  ENGR102-22S2 
•  STAT101-22S2 
•  CHEM111-22S2 
 
•  For the courses listed above, please provide the fol owing data: 
(1) The final grade distribution for the paper (broken down by letter grade, e.g. A+, A, A-, ... etc.) 
(2) The number of students who completed the paper 
(3) The mean and median final marks for the paper (percentage) 
 
The OIA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the 
day we received your request. Unfortunately, it wil  not be possible to meet that time limit and we are 
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to Friday 2 June 2023. 
This extension is required consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper 
response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. Consultations between the relevant teams 
have been affected by il ness in the Information and Records Management team, which has meant this request 
has not been processed as fast as it would have been otherwise. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision. Information about
