Dear Oliver
Information Request
I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 18 April 2023 in which you requested the
following information:
1.
I am rather interested in what vehicles are in the current Christchurch Police fleet,
formatted however easiest for you.
The information contained in the table below is for the whole of the Canterbury District where
Christchurch is located. Vehicles are often moved around within the district to meet deployment
demand. Due to this fluidity, it is not possible to provide a breakdown of vehicle deployments to city
level. That breakdown is therefore refused under section 18(g) of the OIA, as the information is not
held.

The information was sourced from the Master Fleet Summary, a document that changes daily. This
can be for several reasons, such as a vehicle reaching the end of its service and being
decommissioned, replaced by a new vehicle, or transferred to a different working group.
The data contained in the table above is an excerpt from the Master Fleet Summary on 19 April 2023,
so any changes made after that date will not be reflected.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
