Official Information Act 1982 request for information relating to SleepDrops
Thank you for your email of 16 April 2023 requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the
fol owing information:
In a Stuff article dated Sunday 16 April, Kirsten Taylor, the CEO of SleepDrops International, stated
that SleepDrops have received Cal aghan Innovation funding
(https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/131759505/psychic-chal enged-to-prove-ability-with-100000-rewar
d).
Under the Official Information Act I request the fol owing:
1. How much funding, if any, has been provided by Cal aghan Innovation to SleepDrops.
2. Details of any approved requests for funding (including but not limited to the purpose of the
funding, when the requests were made, when and why approval was granted, when the funding
was disbursed, and any information provided by SleepDrops in support of their request for funding).
3. Details of any declined requests for funding (including but not limited to when the requests were
made, when and why approval was declined, and any information provided by SleepDrops in
support of their request for funding).
4. Any other correspondence between SleepDrops or Kirsten Taylor and Cal aghan Innovation not
included above.
5. Any internal correspondence Cal aghan Innovation hold in respect of SleepDrops or Kirsten Taylor.
We address each part of your request below.
1. How much funding, if any, has been provided by Cal aghan Innovation to SleepDrops.

information provided by SleepDrops in support of their request for funding).

request for funding).
After conducting a reasonable search for information, Cal aghan Innovation has not found any information
relating to approved or declined funding applications that exists, nor any record of funding to Sleepdrops.
We are therefore declining these parts of your request under section 18(g) of the Act, because no
information on funding provided, or approved or declined requests, exists.
4. Any other correspondence between SleepDrops or Kirsten Taylor and Cal aghan Innovation not included
above.
5. Any internal correspondence Cal aghan Innovation hold in respect of SleepDrops or Kirsten Taylor.
