Thank  you  for  your  email  of  15  April  2023  to  the  Ministry  of  Business,  Innovation  and  Employment 
(MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following: 
 
“This request is to provide information on total number of EOIs so far went into the ballot for Parents 
category PR visa which is due to have its first draw in August 2023.” 
 
 
Our Response 
 
As at 1 May 2023, there have been 1,402 Parent Resident Visa Expressions of Interest (EOIs) submitted 
since 12 October 2023.  Of these, 47 EOI’s have been declined and 1,355 have been entered into the 
ballot for the next draw scheduled for August 2023.
