Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 05 April. Please see the below response to your request.
1. Please provide a spreadsheet comprising EVERY element of raw data col ected by WCC,
every field, every comment, etc, that underpins the 1,084 responses reported as received
by WCC.
A consultation summary report as well as the submissions will be made publicly available on 04
May 2023. An example of previous summary reports and submissions are available below to give
you an indication of what wil be included.

We are therefore refusing this part of your request under section 17(d) of the Act as the
information you have requested will soon be made available online.
2. Please provide a separate spreadsheet recording EVERY element of raw data (comments
et al, etc) col ected via the Thorndon Community Group's submission form, as separately
submitted to WCC, whether paper or digital.
3. Al metadata for each data field (to ensure there's no ambiguity in interpreting what
each element means, is intended to measure, etc)
Submissions received by Wel ington City Council included a privacy statement which outlined that
contact details included in the submission would not be made publicly available.
Privacy Statement: Al submissions (including names and contact details) are provided in full to
elected members. Submissions (including names but not contact details) wil be made available to
the public at our office and on our website. Your personal information wil also be used for the
administration of the consultation process, including informing you of the outcome of the
consultation. All information collected will be held by Wellington City Council, 113 The Terrace,
Wellington, with submitters having the right to access and correct personal information.
While the submission form created by Thorndon Community Group did not include such a
statement, we will also treat these in the same way. Therefore, for us to release this to you would
require a significant amount of time redacting personal information and we would consider charging
you under section 13 of the Act. As above, submissions will be made publicly available on 04 May.
Please advise if you still require this information and we can send you an approximate charging cost.
4. Please provide a digital copy of WCC's questionnaire
The submission form was available online and is now closed, therefore the link is no longer
available. We can provide you with a PDF of the paper version, should you require this, please let
us know.
5. Please provide a digital copy of the Thorndon Community's questionnaire
This is not a request for official information, as it is not Council information.
6. Please identify any submissions that were appraised as 'invalid' (thus not counted), and
the reason for each such decision
The reason for removing submissions is when a duplicate submission was made by the same
person. The summary report wil include the number of submissions removed and the reasons
why they have been removed, but we are unable to release the personal information that was
used to identify duplicate submissions as it would contravene our Privacy Statement.
We are therefore refusing this part of your request under section 7(2)(a) of the Act as it would
involve disclosing personal information.
7. In the spreadsheets please ensure each data row includes 'location' i.e. a suburb or town
or postcode (etc) that each submitter identified with
Submissions which wil be released on the website include the suburb of the submitter.
8. Please advise when ALL these data wil be readily accessible from WCC's website.
A consultation summary report as well as the submissions in full will be made publicly available on
04 May 2023.
Right of review
If you are not satisfied with the Council’s response, you may request the Office of the Ombudsman
to investigate the Council’s decision. Further information is available on the Ombudsman website,
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.
