Date:
 2 May 2023
Name: Al
Email: [FYI request #22326 email]
Reference number: ENQ-45775-C1W2F9
Dear Al
Thank you for your request received on 30 March:
“I am requesting a total number of employees who have left the CME over the last 3
years. A copy of the exit interviews relating to these departures and a copy of the
staff satisfaction survey for the last 3 years.”
The information you have requested follows.
The total number of employees who have left CME between March 2020 and
March 2023.
The number of permanent employees that have left CME between March 2020 and March
2023 is 29.
During this same period, nine people have left who were on fixed term contracts or were
interns.
Copies of the exit interviews relating to these departures
Copies of the exit interviews relating to these departures have been withheld under section
9(2)(ba)(i) of the Of icial Information Act 1982 (OIA) to protect information which is subject to
an obligation of confidence, where the making available of the information would be likely to
prejudice the supply of similar information and it is in the public interest that such information
should be continue to be supplied.
A fundamental principle of the OIA is that information should be released, unless there is
good reason to withhold it. We consider there is good reason to withhold some information
for the reasons outlined above, and there are no reasons why it would be in the public
interest to release it.
A copy of the staff satisfaction survey for the last three years
Staff satisfaction surveys are anonymous and information is collected via an external
platform.

What we can provide you with are the high-level themes that are reported to our Executive
Leadership Team and the collated results of the surveys by question. Please find these
attached.
The 2023 survey had not closed at the time of your request, so the report has not yet been
collated. This part of your request is refused under section 18(e) of the OIA, because the
information does not exist yet.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
You can contact the Ombudsman on 0800 802 602, or by email at
[email address]
If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us via
