Thank you for your email of 27 March 2023, asking for the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Please provide the contact letter the ACC forwarded to consult with the Psychistrist in question to
determine whether he or she has no issues with their name being published.
On 30 March 2023, you confirmed that this request was in relation to ACC’s response of 28 July 2022 (GOV-
019341 refers).
We are withholding the requested information
The requested information, if any, is part of the OIA decision making process, and has been withheld under
section 9(2)(g)(i) of the Act. This is to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the free and
frank expression of opinions by employees of any public service agency or organisation in the course of
their duty.
In doing so, we have considered the public interest in providing this operational information and
determined that disclosure would be likely to inhibit advisors or officials from expressing or recording free
and frank advice on OIA requests in the future. We have determined that the public interest in this
information does not outweigh the need to protect the effective conduct of public affairs through the
processing of OIA requests.
