9. COVID Response Awards Discussion
Catriona Robinson provided a paper seeking ILT agreement of the selection criteria for INZ staff
to be recognized with the Covid 19 Response Award. The proposed criteria is informed by the
DPMC guidelines and how MIQ has applied the guidelines.
Discussion:
• Staff who due to the nature of their work were required to work in the office during
the various level 3 and 4 lockdowns includes staff beyond those involved in border
exceptions.
• Noted that the list of people granted an exception to be onsite during lockdown
provides a starting place for the list.
Decision:
• Noted the implications of this paper, including that only certain staff will be recognised
through this award.
• Agreed that Organisational Awards will not be requested for any INZ team.
• Agreed that the Dress Distinction will not be requested for any staff.
• Agreed to the proposed INZ Criteria which only applies to the identified groups.

• Approved the proposed INZ criteria and the collation of names of those to be
awarded.
