Thank you for your email of 8 March 2023, to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment 
(MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information: 
 
I am writing to kindly seek the below updated information associated with Accreditation, Job 
check and Accredited Employer Work Visa(AEWV) applications: 
 
1. How many applications(accreditation, job check, aewv) that INZ has received thus far? 
2. How many applications(accreditation, job check, aewv) have been approved thus far? 
3. How many applications(accreditation, job check, aewv) have been declined thus far? 
4. What are the top industries hiring migrants under AEWVs? 
5. How long is the processing time for each stage and the reasons for the increased processing 
time for each stage if applicable?

Question four: 
The top 10 industries hiring migrants under the AEWV policy are: Construction, Health, Hospitality, 
Primary Industry, Transportation and Logistics, Retail, Other (Arts, Entertainment, Media, Professional,  
Recreational), ICT, Education and Tourism. 
Question five: 
Please see Table Two below for the processing timeframes for Employer Accreditation, Job Check and 
AEWV’s, as at 18 March 2023. The increased difference between the processing timeframe for AEWV in 
relation to the other two stages listed is a result of the surge of applications received by INZ prior to the  
median wage increase which happened on 27 February 2023.
