Information Request – Training Material 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 6 March 2023 asking for the following 
information. 
 
“I am looking to request any manuals, training guides, simulators and anything else that could 
exist in relation to training personnel on how to use the LMR (K Codes, Radio etc) in a truck.” 
 
Land mobile radio communication (LMR) training is covered with all new recruits at the National 
Training Centre and is supplemented by Brigade delivered training. Please see the enclosed 
excerpt from Incident Ground Skills module 5, related to the use of Land Mobile Radios (LMR) and 
K codes. Also enclosed, is a copy of the LMR standard operating procedure.
