Notification of extension regarding your request 
Thank you for your email of 6 March 2023, requesting information from Te Pūkenga – New Zealand 
Institute of Skil s and Technology (Te Pūkenga) trading as Wintec under the Official Information Act 
1982 (OIA). 
 
In relation to Wintec nursing students you asked for information about  procedural documents, 
placement, and their supervision and reporting of unethical conduct with regard to Te Whatu Ora 
Waikato (previously the Waikato District Health Board). 
 
Gathering the information you have requested necessitates a manual search through a large quantity 
of information, and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations 
of Te Pūkenga. Additionally, consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that 
a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. 
 
Therefore, we are extending the timeframe for making a decision on your request. We will respond 
by 27 April 2023 (being an extension of 15 working days, observing the Easter and ANZAC public 
holidays on 7, 10 and 25 April). This extension is being made under sections 15A(1)(a) and (b) of the 
OIA. Please be assured we will provide a response prior to this time if at all possible. 
 
You have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the OIA if you are 
not happy with this extension. Information about how to do this is available at
