Official Information Act request regarding training partners within Otago Southland for 
New Zealand Response Teams 
 
Thank  you  for  your  request  made  under  the  Official  Information  Act  (the  Act),  received  on  
19 February 2023. You requested: 
 
“As can be seen with the current national state of emergency what agencies or 
partners within the Otago Southland area conduct the training and activities that an NZ 
RT would participate in a response.” 
 
I believe that the information you have requested is more closely connected with the functions 
of the Otago Regional Council. Accordingly, I have decided under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act 
to transfer your request to the Otago Regional Council. 
 
The  Otago  Regional  Council  has  the  usual  timeframes  under  the  Act  from  receipt  of  this 
transfer to make a decision on your request.
