Official Information Act request: New Zealand Government and corruption 
 
Thank you for your email of 13 February 2023, in which you requested, under the Of icial 
Information Act 1982 (the Act), information regarding the measures taken to prevent 
corruption in New Zealand's political system. 
 
A response to your request is being prepared. However, due to the external consultation 
required, a response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. Accordingly, I 
am extending the time limit for response to this request by 20 working days under section 
15A of the Act and wil  respond to you by no later than 12 April 2023. 
 
You have the right under section 28(3) of the Act to complain to the Ombudsman about the
