OIA 22-23-24: Active Investor Plus 
 
Thank you for your email of 9 February 2023 to New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), 
making a request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). You requested the following 
information: 
 
•  How many acceptable investment requests you have received so far under the active 
investor plus category. Within these requests, how many are under the direct 
investment category and how many are under the managed funds category. When will 
you call for first advisory panel meeting to review these requests and applications. 
 
Answers to your questions are as follows.  
 
1.  New Zealand Trade and Enterprise has received 21 Managed Funds and 20 Direct 
Investment requests to become approved investments for the Active Investor Plus Visa.  
2.  The first panel meeting occurred on 20 February 2023. Note, not all the requests were 
reviewed in the first meeting.  
You have the right under section 28(3) of the Act to seek an investigation and review by the
