Subject: NZAIP Event Request ‐ November 2022
Hi Craig,
I hope you and the team are well! What a whirlwind the last few months have been!
I wanted to touch base as the New Zealand Association of Immigration Professionals (‘
NZAIP’) is hoping to invite the
Minister to attend our annual association lunch in November and I wasn’t sure how early it is advisable to put in the
request? You may recall last year due to the impacts of Covid, we ended up doing a webinar with the Minister in
September, but it would be great if we can navigate alert levels this time around to have the Minister back in
person.
As a reminder, NZAIP was formed in 2012. We are an incorporated society that started in Wellington, established by
passionate immigration professionals who pride themselves in creating a collaborative forum for all parties
interested in immigration‐related matters. Here is the link to our website: https://nzaip.org.nz/. We have grown
significantly over the last 12 months due to our commitment to a constructive and collaborative environment and
now have members from throughout New Zealand.
The Minister of Immigration usually attends one of our events each year and speaks to our members about the
government’s immigration plans and strategies. As such, we would love to have Hon Kris Faafoi attend our
November 2022 event to hear his reflections on the past year, the transformation to the Accredited Employer Work
Visa framework, and the government’s intentions moving forward as the world reopens and businesses look
offshore once more for critical talent.
We do not have a set date at this time so if you are able to guide me on the Minister’s availability we can plan
accordingly.
