Thank you for your email of 4 February 2023, requesting updated information about
Corrections’ Patron Programme. Your request has been considered under the Official
Information Act 1982 (OIA).
You have requested:
Mai I kindly ask you provide an updates on the wing patron’s list and their bio
from 1st June 2021 to now.
Since our previous correspondence on 21 June 2021 (our reference C137561), there have
been two new wing Patrons, appointed in June and July 2021:
• Richard Benge MNZM
• Aliya Danzeisen
Biographical information for the two patrons is publicly available online, and therefore your
request for this information is refused under section 18(d) of the OIA, as the information
requested is publicly available.
Also how many nominations from general public you have received so far between
1st June 2021 to now, how many you have approved, how many you have declined
and how many you stil under consideration.
Presently, we rely on the public approaching us for any public nominations for a Patron role.
Between the date ranges that you have specified, we have not been approached for any
public nominations. As mentioned in our October 2019 correspondence, the general public
are welcome to put forward nominations. If you have someone in mind, please forward your
nomination to:
