Request under the Official Information Act 1982 - Non-Academic Job Vacancies Advertised
in 2022
Thank you for your email of 31 January 2023, requesting the fol owing information from Te
Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skil s and Technology trading as Manukau Institute of
Technology (MIT):
… a list including salary information and job description of all non-academic i.e.
non teaching jobs advertised at Manukau Institute of Technology for the year
2022.
This letter provides a formal decision on your request under the Official Information Act 1982
(OIA). We apologise for the delay in providing you with this information.
The decision
I have attached the fol owing information:
• A list of the non-academic jobs advertised in 2022, and the salary range at which each
job was advertised (if applicable), at
Appendix One
• Job descriptions (x 81) that were provided with the advertisements for each of the
listed jobs at
Appendix Two in eight parts.
Please note, due to the size of attachments, the job descriptions are provided in eight parts.
The document reference and page numbers are set out in the full list for ease of reference.
We have interpreted your request to be for the salary information and job descriptions as
they were advertised. With respect to the jobs where the advertised salary range is not listed
in
Appendix One, these jobs were for non-union roles that were only advertised on MIT’s
careers website, which does not have a ‘pay range’ feature. As no salary range was included
with the advertisement of the role, we are refusing this part of your request under section
18(e) of the OIA as the information does not exist.
Additionally, please note the job description that was included with the advertisement for the
Senior Infrastructure Engineer was the Infrastructure Engineer job description, which is
provided at
Appendix Two.
You have the right to make a complaint to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the OIA if
you are not happy with this response. Information about how to do this is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or by cal ing 0800 802 602.
Ngā mihi
