Thank you for your email of 31 January 2023 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment
(MBIE) requesting the following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
I would like to request a list of vacancy (ministerial appointment only, e.g. board member, Lay
member, Trustee etc) that the nomination period has been closed but still under consideration by the
MBIE or relevant Minister.
In your list, can you please included the date that vacancy been advertised, what method you have
used to publicly advertise the position, how many applicantion you have received and when the
vacancy been closed as well.
Also, I would like to know if you have any future opening in 2023. e.g. the position that will call for
nomination in the year of 2023.
We have interpreted to your request as follows:
1. Provide a list of all roles, as at 31 January 2023, that Ministers or the Governor-General make the
appointments to, where the application period was closed and candidate applications were under
consideration, including the opening and closing date for applications.
2. Provide information on any future roles where applications will be sought in 2023, where we have
received ministerial approval as at 31 January 2023.
On 17 February 2023, MBIE extended the timeframe to respond to your request to 21 March 2023.
Please find the information within the scope of each part of your request in Appendices 1 and 2.
