Response to your request for official information
Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to Manatū
Hauora (the Ministry of Health) on 31 January 2023 for information regarding Board
appointments:
I would like to request a list of vacancy (ministerial appointment only,
e.g. board member, Lay member, Trustee etc) that the nomination period has been
closed but stil under consideration by the MOH or relevant Minister.
In your list, can you please included the date that vacancy been advertised,
what method you have used to publicly advertise the position, how many
applicantion you have received and when the vacancy been closed as well.
Also, I would like to know if you have any future opening in 2023. e.g. the
position that wil call for nomination in the year of 2023.
Manatū Hauora has interpreted the scope of your request as vacancies from
5 November 2022 to 31 January 2023, the date your request was received. Information
about vacancies advertised prior to 5 November 2022 was provided to you in your previous
request (H2022016340 refers).
Pharmac and the Medical Council both had vacancies advertised between
5 November 2022 and 31 January 2023, both of which are stil under consideration. The
Board appointments for Pharmac were open for nomination between 21 November and
9 December 2022. Nominations for these appointments were sought from caucus.
Manatū Hauora has since received 2 nominations.
Information regarding the Board appointments for the Osteopathic Council of New Zealand
was provided to you in a previous OIA response on 21 December 2022 (H2022017894
refers). Similarly, further information about the Medical Council was provided to you on
15 February 2022 under OIA response H2023019661.
Manatū Hauora cannot provide details of future openings at this time, as this information is
not yet confirmed. However, most future opportunities wil be publicly advertised as per our
standard recruitment process.
