I refer to your information request dated 1 December 2022 made under the Official Information Act 
1982 (the Act). You have requested mark and grade distributions for the FINC202, FINC206 and 
LAWS354 papers in Semester 2 2022, as well as confirmation whether any scaling or general mark 
increases occurred in these papers. 
 
Grade and Mark Distributions: 
 
Subject to the following comments, please see attached the mark and grade distributions you have 
requested for the FINC202, FINC206 and LAWS354 papers in Semester 2 2022. 
 
•  the data is correct as at 30 November 2022. Some Semester 2 special examinations are still 
to be held. 
 
•  in the attached grade and mark distributions, we note that students who withdrew from the 
papers or received a Compensation Pass grade (not a mark) are excluded from the data. 
 
Scaling or General Mark Increases: 
 
FINC202: there was no scaling or other mark increases applied to FINC202 in Semester 2 2022. 
 
FINC206: there was no scaling applied to FINC206 in Semester 2 2022. Some students received mark 
adjustments in the final exam.  
 
LAWS354: there was no scaling or other mark increases applied to LAWS354 in Semester 2 2022.
