Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 27 November 2022 requesting the fol owing information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
1.  I request under the Official Information Act a copy of the "Analysis of Speeding Tickets and 
Crashes" report produced by the WK-NZTA Planning and Investment/Crash Analysis Team 
in May 2014. 
2.  I also request a copy of any more recent completed analysis on the same subjects. 
 
Please find attached a copy of the Analysis of Speeding Tickets and Crashes research report as 
requested. In line with Waka Kotahi policy, staff phone numbers have been withheld under section 
9(2)(a) of the Act to protect the privacy of natural persons. 
 
With respect to the information that has been withheld, I do not consider there are any other factors 
which would render it desirable, in the public interest, to make the information available. 
 
I am refusing the second part of your request under section 18(e) of the Act because the documents 
alleged to contain the information do not exist. No further research or analyses has been undertaken. 
 
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to 
withhold personal information and partially refuse your request. The contact details for the
