On Saturday 26 November 2022, you submitted an Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) 
request to the Department of Corrections – Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Corrections), requesting 
information about the cost of Corrections’ recruitment advertisements. 
 
Corrections logged your request as being received on the following working day, Monday 28 
November 2022. Therefore, the deadline to respond to your request was calculated as 16 
January 2023, due to the OIA Christmas shutdown period of 25 December 2022 to 15 
January 2023.  On 20 December 2022, we advised you of this timeframe. 
 
Your request should have been logged as being received on Saturday 26 November 2022. 
This would have resulted in a response being due to you no later than 23 December 2022.
