Information Request – Air Desk BCP Dispatchers 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 18 November 2022 asking for information relating 
to several qualified Air Support Supervisors receiving training as Air Desk Dispatchers to run the 
Fire and Emergency New Zealand National Air Desk outside of the Southern Communications 
Centre. 
 
We have made good progress to date collating the material, but there is considerable work to 
assess and consult on the information. 
 
In accordance with section 15A of the Official Information Act 1982, I notify you of an extension to 
the time limit to make our decision, to 20 January 2023.  The reasons for the extension are that 
consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response to 
your request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. We wil  respond to your 
request at the earliest possible time.
