Thank you for your email of 24 November 2022, asking for the following which has been
considered under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act):
“Please can you provide me with the following submissions that were made in late 2021 or
early 2022 to the review process for the Midwifery Council change of Scope of Practice.
The following DHB appear to have made a submission as well as a leadership group of
midwives.
Canterbury and West Coast DHB
Hutt Valley and Capital & Coast DHB
Midwifery Leaders DHB
Northland DHB – Midwifery Leadership Team
Waitemata DHB
They are listed on this summary report but a search has shown that they do not appear to
have been published on the relevant OIA pages of the DHBs.”
Canterbury and West Coast
Please see Documents 1 & 2 at ached to this letter. Document 1 is on behalf of the former
Canterbury and West Coast District Health Boards (now Te Whatu Ora Canterbury and Te Whatu
Ora West Coast). Document 2 is on behalf of the Midwifery Clinical leadership of Waitaha –
Midwife Mangers and Clinical midwife managers, clinical coordinating midwives and Te Waipouna.
Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley
Please see Document 3 attached to this letter on behalf of the former Capital & Coast and Hutt
Valley DHBs (now Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley).
