As discussed, the timing is achievable for us.
In relation to the game, the team mention that not only can we make someone available
under the Official Information Act 1982
to demonstrate or play the game at the Board’s direction, but we may have some game-
play recordings that could meet their needs.

Hi 9(2)(a)
under the Official Information Act 1982
But wait, there’s more.
After following our recorded process, in addition to a corrected decision (for par. 42) we need two more things:
1   a direction from FLBoR to issue a label:
If a Direction to Issue a Label is required, or there is an existing one attached to the publication, the Board must specifically direct the OFLC the issue a new
label to the FVLB under s55(1)(d) or s55(1)(da)
2   a descriptive note for the label. The Board wish to apply the current note of Contains graphic violence and offensive language
Both can be received in an email.
Is this possible by the end of Wednesday?
We technically have to register the Board’s decision within five working days of the date of the decision.

I’m fairly new to this role as well (this week 2 for me to be exact) so I’m still learning the ropes
too.

The below applicant has the console game that is due to be reviewed for the board. You’ll see
timelines below as well noting that our timeline is quite tight this month due to many applicants
and the submission process.

If you could indicate whether Sony would provide a submission on this game that would be
fabulous!

Appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.

The decision, at paragraph 42, states the publication is an image.
This will likely need changing, as it the publication is a game, video game, or
publication.
I will begin adding the details in our system, as it looks like the board intends the game
to be R18.

I have received the final decision from the President.
I tried giving you call earlier on in the week but wasn’t able to get through.
Please accept my apologies that it has taken a while to get to you. It is peak time during my
substantive role so it’s been a mission trying to get everything sorted before xhristmas break.
Rather than send through the whole decision I just wanted to check how you would like to
receive it. I do have some notes but I don’t quite understand so thought we could have a chat.
Look forward to hearing from you, have a lovely weekend.

Apologies, there was one other thing that I had wanted to check with you re the upcoming
review for the 3x transcripts- 9(2)(a)  will be attending via Zoom and I am just wondering
how best to send her the transcripts. I have been emailed the documents but I am not sure
if that is the most appropriate way to send them on. Should I send a USB via post or would
email be sufficient?
Thanks again

Thanks for sending this through, I will await further communications from you on timing etc. In
the meantime, I’ll finalise the Snell review from the end of last year and hopefully send that
through over the next week or so.

I hope you are all keeping well and safe!
Just an update, given the situation surrounding Covid in New Zealand is largely an unknown, the meeting date for the upcoming review of one video will not be
finalised until there is more certainty that this can go ahead safely and in-person.
To give us flexibility to name a date on a tighter time frame, I will be begin the submissions process shortly so we are prepared to proceed to a review.
I have created a submission time line that would have the submission process beginning on Monday with the applicant having two weeks and then so on.
Can I additionally confirm that there are no further involved parties?

Hi 9(2)(a)

Weird, I checked at this end and it has some sort of protection that doesn’t show up
when I open it (probably permissions based).
I removed that password requirement (though I am sure I didn’t put it there).
Try this one, let me know how you get on.

Hi 9(2)(a)

Not a problem.

Try the one attached, hopefully it works!
I checked it before sending, and it didn’t ask for a password.

Kia ora team,

Happy Friday

I’m currently in the process of creating submission packs to circulate to the board and have
come across an error on this copy of the Resident Evil 3 consideration sheet. Every time I try to
open it, it’s saying I need a password.
Released

Could you either send me a password to the document – or resend it without a password?

I find this really odd because I do believe that when you first sent it, I was able to open it and I
also shared it with the President who I didn’t hear from regarding this issue.

So sorry! And thank you!

Hi 9(2)(a)

Attached is a copy of the Decision and Consideration sheet for Resident Evil 3 (2021)
[OFLC 1900469.000].
It looks like 9(2)  may not have actually requested this document, our Info person
searched his sent docs to Joel and couldn’t find anything relating to this game.
(a)
But as he makes mention of it in his submission, it made sense to include it in the
materials for the Board and our team.

Have a great evening!

Regards,
