Official Information Act request relating to DPMC salary bands
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received by the
Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) on 3 November 2022. You requested:
Please provide the latest DPMC salary bands for:
- Solicitor;
- Senior Solicitor;
- Senior Legal/Constitutional Advisor;
And for:
- Advisor/Analyst/Policy Advisor;
- Senior Advisor/Analyst/Policy Advisor;
- Principal Advisor/Analyst/Policy Advisor; Chief Advisor/Analyst/Policy Advisor.
The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet hosts a departmental agency, the
National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). All figures in this response are for both
DPMC and NEMA.
The current salary bands for the roles in which you are interested are set out in the table
below. DPMC uses total remuneration which predominately includes base salary and
employer KiwiSaver contribution. In some limited situations shift allowances, motor vehicle
private usage and/or other superannuation schemes are also incorporated within total
remuneration.
