I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request dated 19 October 2022.
The Commission believes the fol owing portion of your request is more closely connected with the
functions of the Ministry for the Environment (MfE):
“Please also provide any and all water quality research reports, specifically looking at heavy metals
in water and contributory factors to metals in water. . from January 2010 until now”.
The purpose of this email, therefore, is to advise you that we have made the decision to transfer this part of
your request to MfE under Section 14 of the Act.
You will hear further from MfE concerning this part of your request in due course.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review of this decision by the Office of the Ombudsman in
accordance with section 28(3) of the Act. The relevant details can be found on their website, at:
