Information Request 
I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 17 October 2022 in which you 
requested the following information:  
1. Al  Vehicles used and the quantity in Christchurch
2. I would like it to be broken down by department, e.g Highway, PST, AOS etc. The
Vehicle used and the quantity of them.
3. I would like every single car and its brand and model and its police department.
The information contained in the table is for the whole of the Canterbury District where 
Christchurch is located. Vehicles are often moved around within the district to meet 
deployment demand. Due to this fluidity, it is not possible to provide a breakdown of vehicle 
deployments to city level. That breakdown is therefore refused under section 18(g) of the 
OIA, as the information is not held. 
The information was sourced from the Master Fleet Summary, a document that changes 
daily. This can be for several reasons, such as a vehicle reaching the end of its service and 
being decommissioned, replaced by a new vehicle, or transferred to a dif erent working 
group.  
The data contained in the table above is an excerpt from the Master Fleet Summary on 19 
October 2022, so any changes made after that date will not be reflected.
