Official Information Act request – 13 private sector contractors referenced in February media
release by Minister Clark.
We refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (
OIA),
received by Crown Infrastructure Partners (
CIP) on 13 October 2022, as below:
Can you provide which area wil be added to or upgraded relating back to this press release from the
Minister Hon Dr David Clark in February 2022

Could you also provide who the 13 private sector contractors are referenced in this link and what they
are each providing to the broadband infrastructure.
Could areas or maps of further rol outs also be provided if available
The following areas were included in the announcement by Minister Clark in February 2022:
The announcement in question referred to Round One of funding. Since the release, there have
been additional contractors added to those listed providing coverage for Round One, and those
awarded contracts in Round Two.
These have not yet been announced, but will be announced in due course by Minister Clark. We
are therefore refusing this aspect of the request on the basis of section 18(d) of the OIA, that
the information will soon be publicly available.
CIP notes that you are entitled to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman under
section 28(3) of the OIA.
