Thank you for your email of 22 September 2022 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment 
(MBIE), requesting under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information: 
 
“I am writing to kindly request copies of the most recent assessment templates and training materials for 
Immigration Officers to follow when assessing the current Greenlist Skilled Residence: Straight to 
Residence Resident Visas(SR2) 
Also, it would be great if you could share the estimated processing timeframe for this category of Resident 
Visas this information is not available on the Immigration New Zealand website.”

Please refer to Appendix One for the most recent assessment templates and training materials you have 
requested. Please note that these documents are being released with some information: 
 
•  Withheld under s9(2)(a) to maintain the privacy of individuals  
•  Withheld under s9(2)(b)(ii) to avoid unreasonably prejudicing the commercial position of business 
entities 
•  Withheld under s6(c) as it is likely to prejudice the maintenance of the law, including the 
prevention, investigation, and detection of offences, and the right to a fair trial 
 
Where  information has been withheld from a document, the grounds are also noted in the documents 
themselves. 
 
Where section 9 applies, we have considered whether the need to withhold that information is outweighed 
by other considerations which render it desirable, in the public interest, to make that information available, 
in accordance with section 9(1) of the Act, however it is our opinion that it is not. 
 
With regard to your request about the estimated processing timeframes, please be advised that we do not 
have an estimated processing timeframe for this category. However, Straight to Residence applications will 
be prioritised above other skilled residence applications. Applications which require additional information 
or checks will take longer to process. It is important that applicants include complete information at the 
time the application is made to avoid unnecessary delays. Below is information publicly available on this
