Thank you for your email of 6 September 2022, requesting under the  Official Information Act 1982 (the 
Act), the following information: 
 
•  I wish to inquire exactly how many visa applications under Parents Residence class visa category 
are pending decision now and is it still possible for the residents to lodge new applications at 
this stage? 
 
Our Response 
 
As at 22 September 2022, there were a total of eight Parent Resident visa applications pending 
decision. The Parent Resident Visa category is currently closed, and new applications cannot be
