Request for information 
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 22 August 2022 in 
which you requested: 
1. A PDF copy of "ALL" New Zealand policing manuals. Please provide the 
information as complete manuals rather than individual chapters if possible.
2. A list of "ALL" information currently held by the New Zealand Police that is 
available for the Public to access that is not currently available on the official 
website.
Due to the broad nature of the request, an email was sent to you on 24 August 2022 
inviting you to refine your request by providing more specific detail about the nature of the 
information you are seeking. 
As no further communication has been received as at 13 September 2022, your request 
has been refused in full under section 18(f) of the OIA as the requested information 
cannot be made available without substantial collation. 
More positively, in our subsequent follow up correspondence, you were provided a link to 
the 79 Police Manual Chapters which have already been proactively published, and are 
accessible at the fol owing link: https://www.police.govt.nz/about-
us/publications/corporate/police-manual-chapters. 
You are most welcome to submit a new OIA request with refined criteria for consideration 
in future.  
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are not satisfied 
with the response to your request. Information about how to make a complaint is available 
at: www.ombudsman.parliament.nz
