Request made under the Official Information Act 1982
Thank you for your email of 19 August 2022 requesting the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
A17,000vpd reduction of traffic on the Auckland Harbour Bridge (AHB) was stated by NZTA in
November 2021 reports and now widely quoted as the reduction in traffic required to avoid
wider network impacts caused by a one lane Active Mode trial on the AHB.
Please can you therefore provide the reports that state this 17,000vpd figure and ALL
supporting documents / communications / calculations (digital / written) that were used to
determine that 17,000 vpd figure.
Please also provide any communications / documents that raised questions on the 17,000vpd
figure.
The documents that fal within the scope of your request are outlined in the Document Schedule
attached to this letter.
Please note that some information has been withheld under the fol owing sections of the Act:
• Section 9(2)(a) – to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased natural
persons
• 9(2)(b)(ii) – to protect information where the making available of the information would be
likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial person of the person who supplied or is
subject to the information
• 9(2)(g)(i) – to maintain the effect conduct of public affairs through the free and frank
expressions of opinions by or between or to Ministers of the Crown or members of an
organisation or officers and employees of any department or organisation in the course of their
duty
