I am responding on behalf of the University to your recent OIA request, in which you have asked for
information relating to the Veterinary (BVSc) programme at Massey University, from 2020 to 2022.
It is important to note that in 2020-2022 the GPA contributed 50% to the final selection score which
is used to rank students for selection. The remaining 50% is contributed by non-academic
assessment. This explains why the highest GPA of unsuccessful applicants within a group, are higher
than the lowest GPA for successful students in the same group. GPA ranges between 0-9 with 5
being the minimum that a student must have in order to be considered for selection.
