 Partial Transfer of the request you made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 15 August 2022 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
I request the following in regards to smart speed cameras throughout New Zealand. 
Documents released as referenced in the article linked below. 
How many are in planning. 
Locations of all planned smart speed camera locations (both point a and b of the camera). 
Any documents/plans in relation to issuing demerit points from a speed camera. 
Estimated profits. 
 
The information you have requested regarding documents/plans in relation to issuing demerit points 
from a speed camera is more closely connected with the functions of Ministry of Transport than with 
Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency. Therefore, I am transferring this part your request to Ministry of 
Transport under section 14 of the Act. 
 
The time limit for their response to you is 20 working days from 5 September 2022 so you can expect 
a response from Ministry of Transport on or before 3 October 2022.
