Your Official Information Act request, reference: GOV-021640
Thank you for your email of 13 October 2022, asking Manatū Hauora (the Ministry of Health) for
information on vaccinations. On 2 November 2022, the following requests were transferred to ACC to
respond to under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
1. Thousands of dollars in compensation and treatment has been paid out by ACC for vaccine side
effects. Please provide all of the side effects that ACC has paid out on - are there more side effects
that ACC have been paid out on listed as possible side effects
2. has ACC paid out any compensation for TTS?
ACC publishes COVID-19 vaccine injury data online The data requested for is available on the ACC website, here:
www.acc.co.nz/assets/oia-responses/covid-19-vaccination-claims-refresh-august-2022-ipa8450.pdf. Please
note that the COVID-19 vaccine injury claims data is updated on a quarterly basis.
As the data is, or is soon to be made publicly available, we are not providing a copy of it in this response.
This decision has been made under section 18(d) of the Act.
ACC have not accepted any claims for Thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS)
Therefore, we have not paid out any compensation for TTS.
