1982. You have requested information in relation to entry to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) 
and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) programmes via the Health Sciences 
First Year (HSFY) category for International Students.

for international students from HSFY in the past 5 years 
 
Subject to the following comment, please see the below table which shows the median average 
academic scores to enter the MB ChB and BDS programmes via the HSFY category for International 
Students over the past 5 years: 
 
•  please note that for HSFY, selection is based on an applicant’s average academic score 
across their best seven papers. Prior to 2020 admissions, this average academic score was 
combined with the applicant’s UMAT score, and selection was based upon this combined 
score.
