Response to your request for official information Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to Manatū Hauora
(Ministry of Health) on 31 July 2022. You requested:
“I am requesting the number of nurses employed in DHB hospitals in 2017 and the number
of nurses employed in the same hospitals run by Health NZ as at 31 July 2022. I am also
requesting to know how many nurses have ceased work at DHBs or Health NZ since 2017
and how many nurses have been hired.
To clarify, I am only requesting the number, not any further personal details etc.”
The information you have requested is held by Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand). For this
reason, Manatū Hauora has decided to transfer your request to their agency under section
