Re:  Official Information Act Request #2458

I refer to your Official Information Act request received on 11 August 2022 in which you
specifically requested the following:

How many, if any, first year medical and nursing students at Otago University have

been asked to complete fill-in shifts at Dunedin Hospital, and if so what remuneration
opportunities have they been offered?

We can confirm on the weekend of the 23 July 2022 and 24 July 2022, five, first year Otago
Polytechnic nursing students volunteered to do a shift each at Dunedin Hospital covering
patient watches.

They were each given a $200 New World grocery voucher as Koha for the shift.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review of our decision by the Ombudsman.
