Description:
Bomb phone call to school
Circumstances:
Matamata Col ege received a phone call in relation to a possible bomb being planted in the school.
This phone call came in through the main col ege phone line at 11:23 and was a digital message that
repeated a number of times. Similar phone cal s were also made to

. Due to the risk, the College was evacuated where students were taken to the
college and remained there while the school grounds and buildings were visual y searched by police
staff and Col ege staff.

No Bomb found and Matamata CIB AND NCC completing Enquiries as to source of the phone cal
which has links to Philadelphia in USA.
