Thank you for your Official Information Act request to the Cabinet Office, dated 2 July 2022, 
for the following information:  
 
All documents and Cabinet papers mentioning Whangarei in relation to infrastructure 
and health funding decisions from the date beginning October 2017. 
 
On 24 August 2022, Cabinet Office transferred your request to us, as they thought the request 
would be better serviced by the individual agencies, including the Department of Conservation. 
In their transfer letter, they noted several papers that may be in scope; however, upon further 
review, we can confirm that those papers are not in scope of your request. 
On  6  September  2022, we  sought to  clarify  your  request,  as  we  were  uncertain  as  to  what 
information you would like to receive. To date, we have not received a response back.  
I  regret  that  I  am  not  able  to  provide  you  with  the  information  you  seek  without  further 
clarification.  Section  12(2)  of  the  Official  Information  Act  states  that  “the  official  information 
requested  shal   be  specified  with  due  particularity  in  the  request.”  We  do  not  believe  your 
request has been made with due particularity. As a result, I have closed your request.  
If you wish to receive information from us, we would be happy to respond to a more specific 
request.
