Information Request – Incident Report F3504457
I refer to your official information request dated 15 June 2022 asking for the report in relation to
incident F3504457 on 15 June at a University of Auckland building at 30 Whitaker Place, Grafton.
In accordance with the provisions of the Official Information Act 1982, I
enclose the SMS Incident
Report. The SMS Incident Report is not yet complete. Due to the current industrial action undertaken
by New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union, it will take time to finalise the Report. However, we
have decided to share the Report with you as it stands at this time. It is possible that information in the
Report may change, or more information may be added, before a final version is generated.
Please note the SMS Incident Report provided to you is generated by Fire and Emergency New
Zealand’s electronic station management system (SMS). In SMS Reports, ‘Notifications’ and
‘Message Log’ fields are reported in real time as fire crews and our communication centres
communicate with each other during the incident. They are not the official final records of
incidents but word for word transcripts of ‘live’ situations as they occur. They may contain spelling
errors or commonly used abbreviations.
