OFFICIAL INFORMATION REQUEST
I refer to your official information request made under The Local Government Official
Information and Meeting Act 1987 (LGOIMA) on 30 May 2022 for a copy of this Council’s
Water Safety Plan.
The information you have requested is attached. However, we have redacted information
from the document which relates to:
1. Private information of our ratepayers being our rating database and
information on dialysis patients under section 7(2)(a) of LGOIMA.
7(2)(a) to protect the privacy of natural persons, including
that of deceased natural persons.
2. Exact identifiers to key infrastructure under section 7(2)(d) and 7(2)(e) of
LGOIMA. This could potential y expose our system to manipulation by outside
parties thereby having the potential to cause harm to members of the public.
3. Some technical/software information under section 7(2)(d) and 7(2)(e) of
LGOIMA. By disclosing certain information, it could potentially expose our
system to manipulation by outside parties thereby having the potential to
cause harm to members of the public.
7(2)(d) avoid prejudice to measures protecting the health or
safety of members of the public; and
7(2)e) avoid prejudice to measures that prevent or mitigate
material loss to members of the public.
