Thank you for your email dated 30 May 2022, in which you requested information about the 
results  of  the  survey  of  the  Auckland  Unitary  Plan  Special  Character  Areas  overlay.  The 
specific details of your request and our response is below. 
 
“Please send me the complete set of results from the survey of residential and business 
special character areas that has recently been carried out.” 
 
For  the  survey  of  Special  Character  Areas  Overlay  –  Residential,  the  results  come  in  two 
forms: 
1.  The raw survey data  
These can be found in the attachments.  
2.  The Summary of Area Findings reports  
These  can  be  found  here.  Please  navigate  to  the  right  side  of  the  page  under  the 
heading ‘Special Character Area Assessments – Findings Reports’. 
 
The  IPA  is  scored  +1  (high),  0  (average)  and  -1  (poor).  Any  other  numbers  should  be
