Thank you for your email of 26 May 2022 requesting the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act) in relation to the Auckland safety camera technology trial:

- Al records of Waka Kotahi's interactions with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner
regarding the trial

I wil set out your questions and my responses below.

Please note that where an attached document is mentioned in the email of 10 August 2021, a current
version of this document (dated 16 May 2022) is provided at the end of the attachment on pages 19
to 26.
The identifying information and phone numbers of individuals within the attachment have been marked
as being out of scope as they have not been specifically requested.

I am refusing these parts of your request under section 18(d) of the Act because the information
requested wil soon be publicly available. Waka Kotahi is currently working towards releasing these
online, along with other documents related to the camera trial. This is expected to be published by the
end of July 2022.
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to refuse
