Dear Matias,
Thank you for your email of 29 April 2022 requesting under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the
following information:
Within the 2021 Residence Visa process:
Question 1: I would like to know what are the possible values and definitions for the "Status
reason" column under "Submitted applications", in order to further understand what stages
are there and avoid dealing with unexpected situations.
Question 2: Is it possible to release a data table that collates visa applications that have not
had an outcome yet, on these data points:
•
current visa's expiration date by month
•
2021RV stream
•
total number of people

Question 1
Refer to Appendix one table one for a list of application statuses and description of each status.
Question 2
Refer to Appendix one table two for the number of current visa holders who are principal applicants on a
2021 Resident Visa application that has not yet been decided as at 11 May 2022, broken down by their
current visa expiry date (month and year).
Please note that any number less than 5 is withheld, under Section 9(2)(a) of the Act any information
number less than 5 is withheld, to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased
natural persons.
